BRiaN'S WoRLD: Music Land: All Time Fave Albums

These are some of my favorite albums of all time in no particular order.
  • Catherine Wheel - "Adam and Eve" - Mercury
  • Collective Soul - "Disciplined Breakdown" - Atlantic
  • Coward - "Coward" - Elektra
  • The Dambuilders - "Against The Stars" - EastWest/EEG
  • Jack Drag - "Unisex Hardware" - Devil's Weed/Hep-Cat
  • Everclear - "So Much For The Afterglow" - Capitol
  • Jesus Jones "Already" Food/Virgin (import only)
  • The Mommyheads - "The Mommyheads" - Geffen
  • Odds - "Nest" - Sire/EEG
  • Radiohead - "OK Computer" - Capitol
  • Sense Field "Building" Revelation
  • Thin Lizard Dawn - "Thin Lizard Dawn" - RCA/BMG
  • The Tories - "Wonderful Life" - N2K Encoded
  • Jen Trynin - "Gun Shy Trigger Happy" - Squint/Warner Bros.
  • Whirlpool - "Liquid Glass" - Revelation
  • 2 Minutes Hate "WORM" Ardent Records - A great first album by this band. Nice guys and they sound great live too. The CD also has multimedia enhancements for Macintosh users. Great stuff!
  • 3'rd Matinee "Meanwhile" Reprise - What a great combination. Patrick Leonard and Richard Page are 3'rd Matinee and I love every song on this album. I can only hope that they collaborate together again soon. If you like the sound of this album be sure to check out TOY MATINEE.
  • Boom Crash Opera "Fabulous Beast" Ariola/BMG (Australia) - One of my all-time favorite bands. This is one of their best. More soulful than their other albums. (Australian import)
  • Certain Distant Suns "Happy On The Inside" Giant - Cool album. Too bad nothing ever happened with it. There's some great music on here.
  • Elvis Costello "Brutal Youth" Warner Bros. - I always like a good Elvis Costello album.
  • G. Love and Special Sauce "G. Love and Special Sauce" OKeh/Epic - Great stuff. A mix of blues, jazz, and hip-hop for a new generation.
  • Peter Gabriel "Secret World Live" Geffen - Peter Gabriel is one of my all time favorite artists ever. I pretty much worship everything this man has done. His live shows have to be the best concerts I've ever seen. His shows aren't just a band on a stage. It's a whole production that is unlike anything you'll ever see anywhere else. This double cd has great live versions of most of his hits and some others. I'm going to stop now because I could talk about PG all day...
  • Hamell On Trial "Big As Life" Doolittle - This man has energy! The album was picked up, repackaged, and rereleased by Columbia in 1995. A little weird at first, but it completely grows on you. A guy everyone should see live. Not only for the super music, but also for the great jokes and stories.
  • hHead "Jerk" IRS - This is a great band. I don't know what they're doing now, but I hope they release something else soon.
  • Soul Coughing "Ruby Vroom" Slah/Warner Bros. - I fell in love with this album the very first time I heard it. This album has tons of great songs on it and it was mostly overlooked. Go see them live!!
  • Boom Crash Opera "Born" BMG (Australia) - One of my all-time favorite bands. This is a more "electronic" album than any of their others. Too bad it's not available here in the USA. It should be!
  • Catherine Wheel "Happy Days" Fontana/Mercury - Passed on this album at first listen. I rediscovered it a few months later and have been listening regularly since.
  • Collective Soul "Collective Soul" Atlantic
  • Finn (Finn Brothers) "Finn" EMI (Australia)/Discovery (US) - From the brothers who brought the world Split Enz and Crowded House. What a great album! Now available in the US under the name FINN BROTHERS on Discovery Records. Give Discovery a big hand for picking this album up.
  • Fossil "Fossil" HiFi/Sire/Warner Bros. - This band had lots of potential. It's a great album. Unfortunatly, they broke up shortly after Warner Bros. dropped them from the label.
  • Garbage "Garbage" Almo/DGC
  • The Greenberry Woods "Big Money Item" Sire - Incredible! Poppy! This is the definition of a catchy album. Very "Beatle-esque".
  • Juliana Hatfield "Only Everything" Mammoth/Atlantic - Juliana does it again.
  • King Crimson "THRAK" Virgin - They're baaaack! What an incredible album. What's even better is to hear them perform it live.
  • Letters To Cleo "Wholesale Meats and Fish" Reprise
  • Morphine "Yes" Ryko - I had never heard of this band until this album. Wish I had. Their other albums are incredible too.
  • Odds "Good Weird Feeling" EEG - This band kicks ass! They are absolutely the nicest buch of guys around. Incredibly catchy tunes. I can highly recommend all of their albums. Go see them live if you get the chance. Always a good show. Makes you want to move to Canada.
  • The Rembrants "L.P." East West/EEG - Never want to hear the "Friends" theme again. Good thing there are 14 other great songs on this album.
  • Sister Machine Gun "Burn" Wax Trax/TVT - The album that got me into industrial music again.
